Project description:We use metabolite profiles of the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana measured on an UPLC-ESI/QqTOF-MS to evaluate uni- and multivariate statistical analysis of redundant features in compound spectra. Comparison was performed between the wild-type Col-0 and the 90.32 mutant. The mutant is a transposon based activation tagged A. th. line from the TAMARA population Schneider et al. [2005]. This particular mutant has an over-expression of the AT5G55880 - AT5G55890 genetic region with unknown function.

Loss of HUB2 leads to a pleiotropic phenotype, including reduced seed dormancy, smaller plant size and early flowering. In a screen for photosynthesis affected mutants, we have identified the pp7l (serine/threonine-protein phosphatase7-like) mutant in which chloroplast development is delayed in cotyledons and young leaves. PP7L constitutes together with PP7 and PP7-long the type 7 subfamily of serine/threonine-specific phosphoprotein phosphatases (PPPs). Here we performed shotgun proteomic experiment in order to profile the changes in protein levels in the pp7l mutants in comparison to the wild-type (Col-0).

Experiment 2: Analysis of the distribution of transcripts (RNA-seq) between nucleus and cytoplasm in the eds4 Arabidopsis mutants in comparison to wild type Col-0 plants grown under continuous light conditions.
