MATERNAL IMMUNE ACTIVATION UNSEALS THE BRAIN VESSELS IN THE OFFSPRING AND CAUSES INTRACEREBRAL HEMORRHAGES


ABSTRACT: We report that a single intrauterine exposure to polyinosinic:polycytidylic acid (Poly I:C) at GD9, which models early intragravidic viral infection, induces defective formation of brain vessels and causes intracerebral hemorrhagic events, specifically in male offspring.
