This model takes into account both the binding of hormone with proteins in the plasma and tissues and mutual interactions of the hormones in the system. The deductions from this model are in good agreement with experiment results. This model was taken from the CellML repository and automatically converted to SBML. We propose a dynamical model for the hypothalamo-pituitary-thyroid axis. This model takes into account both the interactions of hormones in this axis and the binding of thyroid hormones with proteins in plasma and tissues. It can account for the pulsatile character of hormone secretion in this axis as well as many experimental results. ...[more]
