Transcription profiling of murine J1 embryonic stem cells undergoing a differentiation time course to study changes in transcription during stem cell differentiation

ABSTRACT: An 11-point time course study on differentiating embryoid bodies from a murine J1 embryonic stem cell line. The time course includes 0 hr, 6 hr, 12 hr, 18 hr, 24 hr, 36 hr, 48 hr, 4 days, 7 days, 9 days and 14 days. Experiment Overall Design: this experiment includes 11 samples and 66 replicates.

Background
Little is known about the genes that drive embryonic stem cell differentiation. However, such knowledge is necessary if we are to exploit the therapeutic potential of stem cells. To uncover the genetic determinants of mouse embryonic stem cell (mESC) differentiation, we have generated and analyzed 11-point time-series of DNA microarray data for three biologically equivalent but genetically distinct mESC lines (R1, J1, and V6.5) undergoing undirected differentiation into embryo ...[more]
