Comparison of gene expression between MEFs and induced embryonic Sertoli-like cells


ABSTRACT: To compare the the genomic profile of MEFs and induced embryonic Sertoli-like cells following 2 weeks of dox withdrawal. ieSCs (from MEFs and from TTFs) and MEF control were grown in F12/DMEM medium without dox for two weeks.

Sertoli cells are considered the "supporting cells" of the testis that play an essential role in sex determination during embryogenesis and in spermatogenesis during adulthood. Their essential roles in male fertility along with their immunosuppressive and neurotrophic properties make them an attractive cell type for therapeutic applications.
