Transcription profiling by array of mouse osteocyte MLO-Y4 cells treated with low doses of the nitrogen-containing bisphosphonates alendronate and risedronate
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Differential Gene expression analysis was conducted in order to study the effect of low doses of Alendronate and Risedronate on osteocyte MLO-Y4 cells. Alendronate and Risedronate are Nitrogen-containing Bisphosphonates (N-BPs), compounds used to treat excessive bone resorption, and low doses of N-BPs were demonstrated to exert a potent pro-survival effect on osteocytes.
