Transcription profiling by array of Arabidopsis pxy mutants to investigate the compensatory mechanism that promotes vascular cell division in the absence of PXY
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: In gain of function studies, phloem intercalated with xylem (PXY) signalling has previously been shown to promote vascular cell division. However, no reduction in vascular cell division has been reported in pxy mutants. This suggests that a compensatory mechanism promotes vascular cell division in the absence of PXY. To uncover this mechanism, the transcriptome of pxy mutants was compared to wild type counterparts.
