Profiling of differentially expressed microRNAs in saliva of Parkinson’s disease patients

ABSTRACT: Five randomly selected samples of both PD and HC were analyzed using the Agilent Human miRNA microarray kit, Release 21.0,8 x 60K. This microarray contains 2570 probes for mature miRNA. Differentially expressed miRNAs were then identified through fold change analysis and student’s t-test. Threshold criteria were set as follows: threshold set for up- and down-regulated genes was a fold change >= 2.0 and a P value <= 0.05.
