Host immunogenetics play a critical role in the human immune response to melanoma, influencing both melanoma prevalence and immunotherapy outcomes. Beneficial outcomes that stimulate T cell response hinge on binding affinity and immunogenicity of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) with melanoma antigen epitopes.
