Cnidarians exhibit incredible reproductive diversity, with most capable of sexual and asexual reproduction. Here, we investigate factors that influence asexual reproduction in the burrowing sea anemone <i>Nematostella vectensis,</i> which can propagate asexually by transverse fission of the body column.
