Substrate reduction therapy (SRT) has been proposed as a new gene therapy for Fabry disease (FD) to prevent the formation of globotriaosylceramide (Gb3). Nanomedicines containing different siRNA targeted to Gb3 synthase (Gb3S) were designed.
