Suprascapular nerve compression at the spinoglenoid notch can lead to posterior shoulder pain, muscle weakness, and longstanding muscle atrophy of the infraspinatus. Although rare, it is most commonly seen in overhead athletes and laborers who perform repetitive overhead activities.
