In this study, we report a facile one-step chemical method to synthesize reduced titanium dioxide (TiO<sub>2</sub>) nanotube arrays (NTAs) with point defects. Treatment with NaBH<sub>4</sub> introduces oxygen vacancies (OVs) in the TiO<sub>2</sub> lattice.
