The current standard for graft rejection surveillance is endomyocardial biopsy (EMB), an invasive procedure with rare but potentially serious complications. Detection of circulating donor-derived cell-free DNA (ddcfDNA) is an option for noninvasive monitoring of graft injury and rejection.
