Huanglongbing (yellow dragon disease) is a destructive disease of citrus. The etiological agent is a noncultured, phloem-restricted alpha-proteobacterium, "Candidatus Liberibacter africanus" in Africa and "Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus" in Asia.
