The first inducible Arthrobacter overexpression system, based on the promoter/operator and the repressor of the 6-D-hydroxynicotine oxidase gene of Arthrobacter nicotinovorans, is described here. Nicotine-dependent overproduction and affinity purification of recombinant proteins are presented.
