The carbon metabolism of Listeria monocytogenes (Lm) EGD and the two isogenic mutant strains LmDeltaprfA and LmDeltaprfApPRFA* (showing no or enhanced expression, respectively, of the virulence factor PrfA) was determined by 13C isotopologue perturbation.
