Recent progress in molecular analysis of low-grade B cell lymphoma has revealed that API2 at 11q21 and a novel gene, MALT1 at 18q21, are involved in t(11;18)(q21;q21), a characteristic chromosome aberration for mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) type lymphoma.
