The phosphatidylcholine preferring phospholipase C from Bacillus cereus (PC-PLC(Bc)) catalyzes the hydrolysis of phospholipids in the following order of preference: phosphatidylcholine (PC)>phosphatidylethanolamine (PE)>phosphatidylserine (PS).
