The effect of nitrogen regulation on the level of transcriptional control has been investigated in a variety of bacteria, such as Bacillus subtilis, Corynebacterium glutamicum, Escherichia coli, and Streptomyces coelicolor; however, until now there have been no data for mycobacteria.
