ABSTRACT: Iterative enantioselective carbonyl allylation from the alcohol oxidation level under the conditions of iridium catalyzed transfer hydrogenation enables chain elongation of 1,3-polyols. High levels of catalyst-directed enantioselectivity and diastereoselectivity are observed.
