Pyrazinamide (PZA) - an important drug in the anti-tuberculosis therapy, activated by an enzyme Pyrazinamidase (PZase). The basis of PZA resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis was owing to mutation in pncA gene coding for PZase.
