<h4>Objective</h4>Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in intron 1 of fat mass- and obesity-associated gene (FTO) are strongly associated with human adiposity, whereas Fto(-/-) mice are lean and Fto(+/-) mice are resistant to diet-induced obesity.
