Skin cancer is the most ubiquitous cancer type in the Caucasian population, and its incidence is increasing rapidly [1]. Transcribed proliferation-related genes in dermal stem cells are targets for the induction of ultraviolet light (UV)-induced mutations that drive carcinogenesis.
