Hydrogenobacter thermophilus is a thermophilic, obligately chemolithoautotrophic and aerobic hydrogen-oxidizing bacterium. It is unique in its ability to fix carbon dioxide via the reductive tricarboxylic acid cycle under aerobic conditions.
