The Saccharomyces cerevisiae Spt-Ada-Gcn5 acetyltransferase (SAGA) protein complex is a coactivator for transcription by RNA polymerase II and has various activities, including acetylation and deubuiqitination of histones and recruitment of TATA-binding protein to promoters.
