The meth-oxy group is almost coplanar with the phathalimide ring, as shown by the C-C-O-C torsion angle of -171.5?(2)°. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are self-assembled via non-classical C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a tape motif along [110].

The isoindoline ring is essentially planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.019?(2)?Å. The dihedral angle between the isoindoline ring and the dichloro-substituted benzene ring is 6.54?(9)°. An intra-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bond occurs. A short Cl?Cl contact of 3.4027?(9)?Å is present in the crystal structure. The crystal packing is further stabilized by weak C-H?? inter-actions.

Project description:A new monoclinic form of the title compound, C(14)H(16)N(4)O(2)S, has been identified unexpectedly during an attempt to synthesize a coordination compound. The heterocyclic ring is essentially planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.005?Å) and makes a dihedral angle of 8.77?(5)° with the benzene ring. This is in contrast to 12.24?(7)° reported for the first monoclinic polymorph [Booysen et al. (2011 ?). Acta Cryst. E67, o1592]. An intra-molecular N-H?S hydrogen bond is observed. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into zigzag chains along the b axis. The closest distance between the centroids of symmetry-related heterocyclic rings is 3.5161?(6)?Å.

Project description:The title compound, C(22)H(18)N(2)O(3) is the second monoclinic polymorph (P2(1)/c) of the compound, the first being reported in space group P2(1) [Bertolasi et al. (1993 ▶). J. Chem. Soc. Perkin Trans. 2, pp. 2223-2228]. In the mol-ecular structure of the title compound, the inter-planar angle between the benzoyl units is 80.04 (5)°, while the corresponding angles between the phenyl-hydrazinyl-idene and benzoyl groups are 36.11 (5) and 55.77 (2)°. A strong resonance-assisted intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond is found. In the crystal, the entire supra-molecular structure is constructed by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions and an inter-ring π-π inter-action [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6088 (8) Å].

The geometrical parameters including the geometry about the Si atom are typical. The mol-ecules form dimers via a weak C-H?O inter-action described by the graph set R(2) (2)(10). The dimers are assembled in rows stacked in the crystallographic b-axis direction via ?-? inter-actions with a 3.332?(3)?Å separation between the rows.
