ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Co(NH(3))(6)][Mn(CN)(6)], contains one Co and one Mn atom, both lying on threefold inversion axes, and one NH(3) and one CN group. The octa-hedral environments around Co(II) and Mn(II) are generated by symmetry and show very slight deviations from ideal geometry. A three-dimensional network is created by N-H?N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the structure of the title complex, {[CeFe(CN)(6)(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O}(n), the Ce(III) and Fe(III) atoms exhibit square anti-prismatic [CeN(6)(H(2)O)(2)] (site symmetry m2m) and octahedral [FeC(6)] (site symmetry 2/m) coordination geometries, respectively. The metal atoms are linked alternately through the cyanide groups, forming a three-dimensional framework in which the {Ce(2)Fe(2)(CN)(4)} puckered square unit is the basic building block. The crystal packing is enforced by O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds, including the uncoordinated water molecule which is located on a mirror plane.

Poly[[hexa-?-cyanido-manganese(II)iron(III)] penta-hydrate].

Project description:The structure of the title compound, Mn(II)[Fe(III)(CN)(6)](2/3)·5H(2)O, features a face-centered cubic -Mn-NC-Fe- framework with both Mn and Fe having site symmetry mm. Since one-third of the [Fe(CN)(6)](3-) units are missing for a given formula in order to maintain charge neutrality, each Mn atom around such a vacancy is coordinated not only by the N atoms of the CN groups but also by the O atoms of the ligand water mol-ecules. In addition to ligand water mol-ecules, two types of non-coordinated water mol-ecules, so-called zeolitic water mol-ecules, exist in the inter-stitial sites of the -Mn-NC-Fe- framework. The positions of the O atoms of the zeolitic water mol-ecules are fixed by the linkage via hydrogen bonds between ligand water and zeolitic water mol-ecules. The structure is related to a recently reported rubidium manganese hexa-cyano-ferrate. Site occupancy factors for Fe, C, N are 0.67; for two O atoms the value is 0.83 and for one O atom is 0.17.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, K(I) (4)[Mo(III)(CN)(7)]·2H(2)O, consists of one [Mo(CN)(7)](4-) anion, four K(+) cations, and two water mol-ecules. The [Mo(III)(CN)(7)](4-) anion has a seven-coordinated capped-trigonal-prismatic coordination geometry. The site-occupancy factors of the disordered water mol-ecules were set at 0.90, 0.60 and 0.50. The H-atom positions could not be determined for two of the water mol-ecules. The H atoms of the water with a site-occupancy factor of 0.90 were refined using O-H and H⋯H distance restraints.

Project description:In the title compound, [Al(3)LaCl(12)(C(12)H(18))]·C(6)H(6), all mol-ecules are located on a mirror plane. Three chloridoaluminate groups and a hexa-methyl-benzene mol-ecule are bound to the central lanthanum(III) ion, forming a distorted penta-gonal bipyramid with the ?(6)-coordinated arene located at the apical position. The hexa-methyl-benzene ligand disordered between two orientations in a 1:1 ratio is also involved in parallel-slipped ?-? stacking inter-molecular inter-actions with a benzene solvent mol-ecule [centroid-centroid distance 3.612?(4)?Å].

Project description:The polymeric title compound, {[Mn(II) (2)W(IV)(CN)(8)(C(10)H(8)N(2))(2)(H(2)O)(4)]·6H(2)O}(n), has a one-dimensional cyanide-bridged Mn(II)-W(IV) bimetallic assembly. The coordination geometry of the W(IV) atom is eight-coordinate square-anti-prismatic and that of each of the Mn(II) atoms is six-coordinate distorted octa-hedral. Two pairs of CN ligands of W(CN)(8) are bridged to two Mn(II) atoms, the remaining CN ligands being terminal. Each Mn(II) atom is additionally coordinated by a bidentate 2,2'-bipyridyl ligand and two water mol-ecules. The crystal structure is stabilized by O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title complex, [Fe2Ni(C19H12N3O)2(CN)6(C16H36N4)]·2.07H2O, contains one [Fe(qcq)(CN)3](-) anion, half a [Ni(teta)](2+) cation and two partially occupied inter-stitial water mol-ecules [qcq(-) is the N-(quinolin-8-yl)quinoline-2-carboxamidate anion and teta is 5,5,7,12,12,14-hexa-methyl-1,4,8,11-tetra-aza-cyclo-tetra-deca-ne]. In the complex mol-ecule, two [Fe(qcq)(CN)3](-) anions additionally coordinate the central [Ni(teta)](2+) cation through cyanide groups in a trans mode, resulting in a trinuclear structure with the Ni(2+) cation lying on an inversion centre. The two inter-stitial water mol-ecules are partially occupied, with occupancy factors of 0.528?(10) and 0.506?(9). O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonding involving the two lattice water molecules and the carbonyl function and a teta N atom in an adjacent cluster leads to the formation of layers extending parallel to (010).

Project description:The hydro-thermal reaction of CoCl(2)·6H(2)O, 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) and K(3)[Fe(CN)(6)] in deionized water yielded the title cyanide-bridged trinuclear cluster, [Co(2)Fe(CN)(8)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(4)]·4H(2)O or [{Co(III)(phen)(CN)(4)}(2){Fe(II)(phen)(2)}]·4H(2)O, which contains two Co(III) centers and one Fe(II) center linked by cyanide bridges. The combination of coordinative bonds, O-H?N and O-H?O hydrogen bonds and ?-? stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.630?(2)?Å] results in the stabilization of a supra-molecular structure. All uncoordinated water molecules are disordered. Thermogravimetric analysis reveals that the title complex loses the four crystal water mol-ecules at about 333?K, then the anhydrous phase loses no further mass up to about 573?K, above which decomposition occurs.

Project description:In the bimetallic cyanide-bridged title complex, [Fe(0.98)HoRu(0.02)(CN)(6)(C(3)H(7)NO)(4)(H(2)O)(3)]·H(2)O, the Ho(III) ion is in a slightly distorted square-anti-prismatic arrangement formed by seven O atoms from four dimethyl-formamide (DMF) mol-ecules and three water mol-ecules, and one N atom from a bridging cyanide group connected with the Fe(III) atom which is octa-hedrally coordinated by six cyanide groups. In the crystal, mol-ecules are held together through O-H?N and O-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions to form a three-dimensional framework. Elemental analysis of one of the precursors and the crystal shows that there is a slight contamination of Fe by Ru. The Fe site displays, therefore, small substitutional disorder with site-occupancy factors Fe/Ru = 0.98:0.02. The two methyl groups of two dimethyl-formamide ligands are positionally disordered with site-occupancy factors of 0.44?(3):0.56?(3) and 0.44?(3):0.56?(3).

Project description:The title compound, [Co(C(4)H(13)N(3))(2)][InCl(6)], was synthesized under hydro-thermal conditions. In the cation, the Co-N bond lengths lie in the range 1.967?(2)-1.9684?(15)?Å. In the anion, the In(III) atom is coordinated by six Cl atoms resulting in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. Both metal atoms are located on special positions of site symmetry 2/m. Furthermore, one Cl atom and one N atom are located on a mirror plane. N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds between cations and anions consolidate the crystal packing.

Project description:In the polymeric title compound, [Cu(3)W(2)(CN)(16)(C(7)H(6)N(2))(6)(H(2)O)](n), the coordination geometry of the W(V) atom is eight-coordinate dodeca-hedral, where four CN groups of [W(CN)(8)] are bridged to Cu(II) ions, and the other four CN groups are not bridged. The coordination geometries of the Cu(II) ions are five-coordinate pseudo-square-based pyramidal. There are two distinct Cu sites, which build and link the cyanido-bridged Cu-W ladder chains. Successive connections lead to the formation of a two-dimensional network. The H atoms of a coordinated water molecule and the imino groups form hydrogen bonds to the N atoms of non-bridged CN groups.
