The organic mol-ecules and uncoordinated water mol-ecules are linked by N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The structure of the title compound, C(17)H(15)N(3)O(4), displays inter-molecular O-H?N and O-H?O hydrogen bonding between adjacent mol-ecules. Intra-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds also occur. The molecule is essentially planar with a deviation of 0.090?(1)?Å from the best plane running through the connected ring systems.

Project description:The title compound, 2C(16)H(13)N(3)O(4)·C(18)H(14)N(4)·2CH(4)O, was crystallized from the reaction between 3,4,5-trihydroxy-benzoyl-hydrazine and indole-2-carbaldehyde in a mixture of ethanol and methanol. The compound is a stoichiometric 2:1 cocrystal of the methanol-solvated reaction product, 3,4,5-trihydr-oxy-N'-(1H-indol-2-ylmethyl-idene)benzohydrazide and 1H-indole-2-carbaldehyde azine that arose unexpectedly during the synthesis. The former mol-ecules are linked by O-H?O hydrogen bonds and also by ?-? stacking inter-actions between benzoyl-hydrazide rings into a two-dimensional network. The methanol solvent mol-ecules are hydrogen bonded to this network. The centrosymmetric azine mol-ecules are not engaged in hydrogen bonding.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(11)H(11)N(3)O(2)·0.25H(2)O, contains two independent organic mol-ecules and a water mol-ecule, which lies on a twofold rotation axis. The side chains of the two mol-ecules have slightly different orientations, the C=N-N-C torsion angle being -163.03 (15)° in one and -177.52 (14)° in the other, with each adopting a trans configuration with respect to the C=N bond. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into chains extending along b by N-H⋯O, O-H⋯N and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and in addition, four inter-molecular C-H⋯π inter-actions are present.

Project description:In the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(18)H(20)N(2)O(5), there are two crystallographic independent mol-ecules. Both mol-ecules are twisted; the dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 7.2?(5)° in one mol-ecule, whereas it is 85.9?(4)° in the other. Of the three meth-oxy groups in the 3,4,5-trimeth-oxy-phenyl unit, two meth-oxy groups at meta positions are approximately coplanar with the benzene plane [C-O-C-C torsion angles of -2.3?(13)-4.8?(11)°], but the other meth-oxy, at the para position, is out of the plane [C-O-C-C of 72.8?(9)° in one mol-ecule and -77.5?(9)° in the other]. Project description:The title benzohydrazide derivative, C(17)H(18)N(2)O(5), exists in a trans conformation with respect to the C=N double bond. The dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 19.41?(5)°. The two meth-oxy groups at the meta positions of the trimeth-oxy-benzene group are almost coplanar with the ring [C-O-C-C = 1.62?(16) and 178.33?(10)°], whereas the third meth-oxy group, at the para position, is (+)-synclinal with the ring. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H?O and bifurcated O-H?(N,O) hydrogen bonds, as well as weak C-H?O inter-actions, into sheets lying parallel to the ac plane. A C-H?? inter-action also occurs.

Furthermore, these dimers connect to each other via C-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds to form a three-dimensional network.
