ABSTRACT: The title complex, [Nb(C(7)H(12)N(3))(4)]PF(6), features chelating hpp anions (hpp is 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-2H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrim-idine) that define a distorted dodeca-hedral coordination geometry based on an N(8) donor set. The Nb atom is situated on a site of symmetry , and the PF(6) (-) anion has crystallographic fourfold symmetry.

Project description:In the cation of the title complex, [Ru(C31H32N3P2)(C10H8N2)2](PF6)(Br)2·2CH2Cl2·H2O, the ruthenium ion is coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry by two 2,2'-bi-pyridine (bpy) ligands and a chelating cationic N-di-phenyl-phosphino-1,3,4,6,7,8-hexa-hydro-2-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidine [(PPh2)2-hpp] ligand. The tricationic charge of the complex is balanced by two bromide and one hexa-fluorido-phosphate counter-anions. The compound crystallized with two mol-ecules of di-chloro-methane (one of which is equally disordered about a Cl atom) and a water mol-ecule. In the crystal, one of the Br anions bridges two water mol-ecules via O-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds, forming a centrosymmetric diamond-shaped R (4) 2(8) motif. The cation and anions and the solvent mol-ecules are linked via C-H⋯F, C-H⋯Br, C-H⋯Cl and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title compound, C(7)H(14)N(3) (+)·C(25)H(40)N(3)O(4)Si(2) (-)·CH(3)CN, was obtained by the reaction of 2-nitro-1,3-di(pyridin-2-yl)-1,3-di(tert-butyl-dimethyl-sil-yloxy)propane with 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexa-hydro-2H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidine. Two hydrogen bonds stabilize the Lewis acid/base pair of the nitro-nate and the guanidinium moiety with N⋯O distances of 2.772 (3) and 2.732 (3) Å. Both hydrogen atoms are more closely bound to the guanidinium [N-H distances of 0.83 (3) and 0.93 (3) Å] than to the nitro-nate moiety. The nitro-nate is double-bonded to the respective carbon with an N=C bond length of 1.316 (3) Å.

Project description:The title compound, [ReO(2)(C(6)H(7)N)(4)]PF(6), contains octa-hedral [ReO(2)(4-Mepy)(4)](+) cations (4-Mepy is 4-methyl-pyridine) and PF(6) (-) anions. Both the cation and the anion reside on special positions, the Re atom on a crystallographic center of inversion and the P atom on a C(2) axis parallel to the b axis. The Re(V) atom in the cation exhibits an octa-hedral coordination geometry with two O atoms in the apical positions and four N atoms of the 4-Mepy ligands in the equatorial plane. The Re=O and Re-N bond lengths fall in the typical ranges of trans-dioxidorhenium(V) complexes.
