ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(9)H(20)NO(+)·Cl(3)CCOO(-), the cations and anions are connected via O-H?O, N-H?O, O-H?Cl and N-H?Cl hydrogen bonding. The six-membered ring adopts a chair conformation with the hydroxyl group in an equatorial position.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, C(9)H(20)NO(+)·Cl(-)·0.33(H(3)O(+)·Cl(-)), is composed of 4-hydr-oxy-2,2,6,6-tetra-methyl-piperidinium cations, hydroxonium cations and chloride anions, which are connected via O-H?O, O-H?Cl and N-H?Cl hydrogen bonding. The 4-hydr-oxy-2,2,6,6-tetra-methyl-piperidinium cation and one of the two crystallographically independent chloride anions are located on a mirror plane. The hydroxonium cation is located on a threefold axis and the second crystallographically independent chloride anion is located on a sixfold rotoinversion axis. Due to symmetry, the hydroxonium cation is disordered over two positions.

Project description:The crystals of the title salt, C(5)H(12)N(+)·C(11)H(7)O(3) (-), were obtained from a methanol/water solution of 3-hydr-oxy-2-naphthoic acid and piperidine at room temperature. In the crystal structure, the piperidinium cations display a chair conformation and link with hydroxy-naphthoate anions via N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds. Project description:The title compound, C(19)H(18)O(7), also known as chrysoobtusin, was isolated from Cassia tora L. (Leguminosae). Project description:The title compound, [-Si(C(12)H(9))(2)OSi(CH(3))(2)O-](2), was obtained unintentionally as the product of an attempted crystallization of caesium bis-(biphenyl-2,2'-di-yl)fluoro-silicate from dimethyl-formamide. In the crystal, the mol-ecule is located on an inversion center and the siloxane ring adopts a twist-chair conformation with the two dimethyl-substituted Si atoms lying 0.7081 (5) Å out of the plane defined by the two bis-(biphenyl-2-yl)-substituted Si atoms and the four O atoms. In each Si(C(12)H(9))(2) unit, the orientation of one terminal phenyl ring relative to the phenyl-ene ring of the other biphenyl moiety suggests a parallel displaced π-π stacking inter-action [centroid distance = 4.2377 (11) Å and dihedral angle = 15.40 (9)°].
