ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(28)H(20)NO(3)P, the five-membered maleimide ring is almost planar. The inter-planar angles between the maleimide ring and the three P-bound phenyl rings are 70.6?(2), 60.4?(2) and 54.68?(18)°, while the dihedral angle between the maleimide ring and the N-bound phenyl group is 55.43?(19)°.

Project description:In the title compound, C(29)H(21)O(3)P, a coumarin-substitued ylid, the P atom is linked to three benzene rings and a planar coumarin moiety via a methyl-enecarbonyl group. The bond lengths in the P=C-C=O fragment clearly indicate a delocalized system involving the olefinic and carbonyl bonds. The mol-ecular structure is stabilized by an intra-molecular C-H?O inter-action that results in an S7 graph-set ring motif. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional framework by C-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The structure of the title compound, [Ph(3)P=N=PPh(3)](+)[Ph(3)SnCl(2)](-) or (C(36)H(30)NP(2))[Sn(C(6)H(5))(3)Cl(2)], obtained as a by product of the reaction between Ph(3)SnCl and [Ph(3)P=N=PPh(3)](+)·HSeO(3) (-), consists of discrete essentially isolated ions. Both the cation and the anion lie on twofold axes which pass through the central N atom in the cation and through the Sn(IV) atom in the anion. In the crystal, the ions inter-act only through a weak inter-action between the Cl atom of the anion and an H atom of a phenyl ring of the cation.

Project description:In the title mol-ecule, C(22)H(16)N(2), the pyrazine ring deviates very slightly from planarity [maximum deviation 0.044?(3)?Å], tending towards a twist-boat conformation. The phenyl ring at position 3 makes dihedral angles of 64.0?(2) and 45.8?(2)°, respectively, with the phenyl rings at positions 2 and 5. The dihedral angle between the phenyl rings at positions 2 and 5 is 49.7?(2)°. A C-H?? inter-action is found in the crystal structure, but no classical hydrogen bonds form.

Project description:The title crystal structure is a new triclinic polymorph of [(Ph3P)2N]Cl·(B(OH)3) or C36H30NP2 (+)·Cl(-)·BH3O3. The crystal structure of the ortho-rhom-bic polymorph was reported by [Andrews et al. (1983 ▶). Acta Cryst. C39, 880-882]. In the crystal, the [(Ph3P)2N](+) cations have no significant contacts to the chloride ions nor to the boric acid mol-ecules. This is indicated by the P-N-P angle of 137.28 (8)°, which is in the expected range for a free [(Ph3P)2N](+) cation. The boric acid mol-ecules form inversion dimers via pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, and each boric acid mol-ecule forms two additional O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds to one chloride anion. These entities fill channels, created by the [(Ph3P)2N](+) cations, along the c-axis direction.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title mol-ecular salt, C(19)H(15)N(4) (+)·I(-), contains four 2,3,5-triphenyl-2H-tetra-zol-3-ium cations and five iodide anions, with two of the latter lying on crystallographic inversion centres. In each cation, the tetra-zole ring is essentially planar (r.m.s. deviations = 0.004-0.007 Å). The dihedral angle between the aromatic rings in the main molecule is 89.49 (8)°.
