Catena-Poly[[nickel(II)-μ-1,3-dimethyl-2,6-dioxo-7H-purinato-κN:N] hydroxide].

ABSTRACT: The title complex, {[Ni(C(7)H(7)N(4)O(2))]OH}(n), has been prepared through hydro-thermal synthesis. The asymmetric unit contains one [Ni(TH)](+) cation (TH is the theophylline anion) and one hydroxide anion. The Ni(2+) ion is coordinated by two N atoms from two neighboring theophylline anions. The alternating linkage of the Ni(2+) cation and theophylline anion results in a one-dimensional chain along the [010] direction. Intermolec-ular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are present n the crystal structure.

Project description:Reaction of nickel(II) chloride with sodium cyanate and 2,6-di-methyl-pyrazine leads to single crystals of the title com-pound, [Ni(NCO)(2)(C(6)H(8)N(2))(4)]. The nickel(II) cation is located about a centre of inversion and is octa-hedrally coordinated by two cyanate anions and four 2,6-dimethyl-pyrazine ligands, forming discrete complexes.

Project description:The title compound, [Ni(SO(4))(C(5)H(5)N)(H(2)O)(3)](n), was synthesized by the hydro-thermal reaction of NiSO(4)·6H(2)O, pyridine and water. The central Ni(II) atom is coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral environment by a pyridine N atom, three aqua O atoms and two O atoms of bridging sulfate anions, yielding a zigzag chain. A three-dimensional network is generated via complex hydrogen bonds involving the sulfate and aqua ligands and a pyridine C-H group.

Project description:In the title compound, [CoCl(2)(C(13)H(14)N(2))](n), 1,3-bis-(4-pyrid-yl)propane (bpp) ligands bridge four-coordinate Co atoms, generating an extended one-dimensional zigzag chain. Both the Co and two Cl atoms in the tetrahedral coordination polyhedron lie on a mirror plane, while the bbp ligand is bis-ected through the central C atom in the chain by a second mirror plane. There are some π-π stacking inter-ations in the crystal structure, with inter-planar distances of 3.449 Å, which are responsible for the supra-molecular assembly.

Project description:The title compound, C(13)H(12)N(4)O(3), is an imidazole derivative featuring an annealed purine ring system.
