Iodidotris(triphenyl-phosphine)copper(I) acetonitrile solvate.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [CuI(C(18)H(15)P)(3)]·C(2)H(3)N, was obtained from the reaction of triphenyl-phosphine and copper(I) iodide in acetonitrile. The monomeric form of the complex has slightly distorted coordination of Cu by the I atom and three P atoms. The crystal structure is stabilized by C-H⋯π inter-actions between phenyl H atoms and phenyl rings. In addition, the complex mol-ecules exhibit C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds between phenyl H atoms and acetonitrile N atoms. The crystal used was an inversion twin, with nearly equal component populations of 0.522 (8) and 0.478 (8).

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(10)H(8)N(2))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]NO(2)·CHCl(3)·0.5H(2)O, the Cu atom is tetra-hedrally coordinated by a bidentate 2,2'-bipyridine ligand and two PPh(3) ligands. The Cu-N and Cu-P distances are similar to those observed in similar compounds. The range of coordination angles shows a moderate distortion from ideal tetra-hedral geometry. The bipyridine ligand is twisted [14.2?(4)°] about the ring-ring C-C bond. The nitrate anion and the water and chloro-form mol-ecules of solvation are disordered. In the crystal structure, there are O(water)-H?O(nitrate), C-H?O(water) and C-H?O(nitrate) hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, [CuCl(C(3)H(8)N(2)S)(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]·0.5CH(3)CN, was prepared by the reaction of copper(I) chloride with 1,3-dimethyl-thio-urea (dmtu) and triphenyl-phosphine (PPh(3)) in acetonitrile. The Cu(I) atom has a distorted tetra-hedral environment formed by two P atoms from triphenyl-phosphine, one S atom from the dmtu ligand and one Cl atom. In addition, the mol-ecules exhibit intra- and inter-molecular N-H⋯Cl inter-actions.

Project description:The title compound, [RuCl(2)(C(2)H(3)N)(2)(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]·2C(2)H(3)N, was obtained upon stirring an acetonitrile/ethanol solution of [RuCl(2)(PPh(3))(3)]. In the crystal structure, each Ru(II) ion is coordinated by two Cl [Ru-Cl = 2.4308 (7) and 2.4139 (7) Å], two N [Ru-N = 2.016 (2) and 2.003 (2) Å], and two P [Ru-P = 2.3688 (7) and 2.3887 (7) Å] atoms in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. Packing inter-actions include typical C-H⋯π contacts involving phenyl groups as well as weak hydrogen bonds between CH(3)CN methyl H atoms and Cl or solvent CH(3)CN N atoms.

Project description:In the title compound, [PtCl(2)(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]·CHCl(3), each Pt(II) centre adopts a nearly square-planar coordination geometry formed by two P atoms [Pt-P = 2.2481 (17) and 2.2658 (19) Å] and two Cl anions [Pt-Cl = 2.3244 (19) and 2.3548 (17) Å]. The Cl atoms of the chloro-form solvent mol-ecule are disordered over two orientations in a 0.778 (11):0.222 (11) ratio. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, exhib-iting voids with a volume of 215 Å(3).

Project description:The title mixed-ligand copper(I) complex, [Cu(C(18)H(13)N(4)O(5)S)(C(18)H(15)P)(2)], was synthesized via solvothermal reaction of [Cu(PPh(3))(2)(MeCN)(2)]ClO(4) and sulfasalazine [systematic name: 2-hydr-oxy-5-(2-{4-[(2-pyridylamino)sulfon-yl]phen-yl}diazen-yl)benzoic acid]. The mononuclear complex displays a trigonal coordination geometry for the Cu(I) atom, which is surrounded by two P-atom donors from two different PPh(3) ligands and one O-atom donor from the monodentate carboxyl-ate group of the sulfasalazinate ligand. The latter ligand is found in a zwitterionic form, with a deprotonated amine N atom and a protonated pyridine N atom. Such a feature was previously described for free sulfasalazine. The crystal structure is stabilized by C-H⋯O, C-H⋯N, N-H⋯N and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(18)H(15)P)(2)(H(2)O)]BF(4), the Cu(I) atom is coordinated by two P atoms from triphenyl-phosphine ligands and one water mol-ecule in a distorted trigonal geometry. In the BF(4) (-) anion, three F atoms are disordered over two sites around the B-F bond, the site-occupancy ratio being 0.67 (6):0.33 (6). The Cu⋯F distance of 2.602 (5) Å between the Cu atom and the ordered F atom may suggest a weak but genuine inter-action. O-H⋯F and weak C-H⋯F hydrogen bonding is present in the crystal structure.
