Catena-Poly[[bis-[1-phenyl-3-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)propan-1-one-?N]cadmium(II)]-di-?-azido-?N:N].

ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title complex, [Cd(N(3))(2)(C(11)H(11)N(31))(2)](n), there are two crystallographically independent Cd(II) atoms. Both exist in an octa-hedral environment composed of four N atoms of the N(3) (-) groups and two N atoms from two monodentate 1-phenyl-3-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)propan-1-one ligands that are positioned trans to each other. Adjacent Cd(II) centres in the crystal structure are bridged by a pair of N(3) (-) anions in a ?-1,3-fashion, forming an infinite one-dimensional array.

Project description:In the title compound, C(8)H(8)N(4)·C(8)H(8)N(4), two tautomers, viz. 3-phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-5-amine and 5-phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-3-amine, are crystallized together in equal amounts. The 3-phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-5-amine mol-ecule is essentially planar; the phenyl ring makes a dihedral angle of 2.3?(2)° with the mean plane of the 1,2,4-triazole ring. In the 5-phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-3-amine tautomer, the mean planes of the phenyl and 1,2,4-triazole rings form a dihedral angle of 30.8?(2)°. The ?-electron delocalization of the amino group with the 1,2,4-triazole nucleus in the 3-phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-5-amine mol-ecule is more extensive than that in the 5-phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-3-amine tautomer. The mol-ecules are linked into a two-dimensional network parallel to (100) by N-H?N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title Cd(II) compound, [Cd(N(3))(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))](n), contains a Cd(II) atom, located on a twofold axis passing through the middle of the phenanthroline mol-ecule, one azide ion and half of a 1,10-phenanthroline mol-ecule. The Cd(II) atom exhibits a distorted octa-hedral coordin-ation including one chelating 1,10-phenanthroline ligand and four azide ligands. The crystal structure features chains along the c direction in which azide groups doubly bridge two adjacent Cd(II) atoms in an end-on (EO) mode. Project description:Owing to the presence of crystallographic twofold rotation axes (site symmetry 2, Wyckoff letters e and f), the asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Mn(C(12)H(8)N(5))(CHO(2))](n), contains one-half of an Mn(II) cation, one-half of a bpt anion (Hbpt is 3,5-di-2-pyridyl-4H-1,2,4-triazole) and one-half of a formate anion. The bpt and formate ligands occupy the same C(2) symmetry, while the Mn(II) ion resides on another crystallographic twofold rotation axis. Each bpt ligand acts as a cis-bis-chelate to ligate two Mn(II) ions into a one-dimensional chain running along the crystallographic 4(1) screw axis. Adjacent Cd(II) cations are inter-connected alternately by pairs of chloride bridges, generating an infinite step-like chain along the a axis. One ethyl group of the 1-ethyl-1H-imidazole ligand is disordered over two sets of sites with a 0.668?(13):0.332?(13) site-occupancy ratio.

Project description:In the polymeric title compound, {[Cd(C(8)H(12)N(6))(H(2)O)(4)]SO(4)}(n), the Cd(II) atom is located on an inversion center and coordinated by four water mol-ecules and two 1,4-bis-(1,2,4-triazol-yl)butane ligands in a distorted CdO(4)N(2) octa-hedral geometry. The 1,4-bis-(1,2,4-triazol-yl)butane ligand is centrosymmetric, the mid-point of the central C-C bond being located on an inversion center. It links adjacent water-coordinated metal atoms into polymeric chains running along the c axis. Adjacent chains are linked by O-H?N hydrogen bonds. The S atom of the sulfate anion is located on a twofold rotation axis, thus the sulfate anion is equally disordered over two sites. The sulfate anion links with the polymeric chains via O-H?O hydrogen bonds, generating a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.

Project description:The new title one-dimensional CdII coordination polymer, [Cd(C10H10N2)2(?1,3-N3)2] n , has been synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The asymmetric unit consists of a CdII ion, one azide and one 1-benzyl-imidazole (bzi) ligand. The CdII ion is located on an inversion centre and is surrounded in a distorted octa-hedral coordination sphere by six N atoms from four symmetry-related azide ligands and two symmetry-related bzi ligands. The CdII ions are linked by double azide bridging ligands within a ?1,3-N3 end-to-end (EE) coordination mode, leading to a one-dimensional linear structure extending parallel to [100]. The supra-molecular framework is stabilized by the presence of weak C-H?N inter-actions, ?-? stacking [centroid-to-centroid distance of 3.832?(2)?Å] and C-H?? inter-actions between neighbouring chains.
