N-[(Z)-(1-Methyl-1H-pyrrol-2-yl)methyl-idene]-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-amine.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(8)H(9)N(5), a Schiff base derived from N-methyl-pyrrole-2-carbaldehyde and 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole, the C=N double bond linking the two aromatic rings has a Z conformation. The two rings are twisted by 24.20 (5)°. A chain motif results from N-H⋯N hydrogen bonding.

Project description:In the title compound, C(7)H(7)N(5), the non-H atoms are almost coplanar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.050 Å), with the N atom of pyridine ring oriented to the N-N(H) side of the 1,2,4-triazole ring. The mean planes of the pyridine and 1,2,4-triazole rings form a dihedral angle of 5.58 (7)°. The N atom of the amino group adopts a pyramidal configuration. The mol-ecules are linked into a two-dimensional network parallel to (10) by N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, C15H14N4O, crystallizes with two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit with similar conformations (r.m.s. overlay fit for the 20 non-H atoms = 0.175 Å). In the first mol-ecule, the dihedral angles between the planes of the central pyrazole ring and the pendant phenyl and pyrrole rings are 42.69 (8) and 51.88 (6)°, respectively, with corresponding angles of 54.49 (7) and 49.61 (9)°, respectively, in the second mol-ecule. In the crystal, the two mol-ecules, together with their inversion-symmetry counterparts, are linked into tetra-mers by O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. The tetra-mers form layers parallel to (211) through pairwise C-H⋯π inter-actions.

The 1,2,4-triazoline ring is essentially planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.010 (2) Å for the substituted N atom. The ethyl acetate substituent is almost planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.061 (4) Å for the methyl-ene C atom of the eth-oxy group. The angle between the mean plane of this substituent and the mean plane of the 1,2,4-triazoline ring is 89.74 (8)°. Project description:In the title compound, C(8)H(8)N(4)·C(8)H(8)N(4), two tautomers, viz. 3-phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-5-amine and 5-phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-3-amine, are crystallized together in equal amounts. The 3-phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-5-amine mol-ecule is essentially planar; the phenyl ring makes a dihedral angle of 2.3 (2)° with the mean plane of the 1,2,4-triazole ring. In the 5-phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-3-amine tautomer, the mean planes of the phenyl and 1,2,4-triazole rings form a dihedral angle of 30.8 (2)°. The π-electron delocalization of the amino group with the 1,2,4-triazole nucleus in the 3-phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-5-amine mol-ecule is more extensive than that in the 5-phenyl-1,2,4-triazol-3-amine tautomer. The mol-ecules are linked into a two-dimensional network parallel to (100) by N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.
