Project description:The title compound, C(35)H(30)N(2)S(3), has been synthesized by a solvent-free reaction. The mol-ecule exhibits an E,E configuration, the benzene rings and pyrimidine rings being located on the opposite sides of the C=C bonds. The centroid-centroid separation of 3.5808 (17) Å indicates the existence of π-π stacking between nearly parallel pyrimidine and benzene rings of adjacent mol-ecules.

Project description:In the title compound, C(7)H(14)N(6), the amine groups of the two methyl-hydrazino substituents are orientated in the opposite direction to the methyl substituent at the 2-position of the pyrimidine ring. The mol-ecule is almost planar with only the two amine N atoms lying substanti-ally out of the mean plane of the pyrimidine ring [by 0.1430?(2) and 0.3092?(2)?Å]. The H atoms on these amine groups point inwards towards the aromatic ring, such that the lone pair of electrons points outwards from the mol-ecule. Each mol-ecule is linked to two others through N-H?N hydrogen bonds between the two amino groups, forming a one-dimensional chain in the [010] direction. Offset face-to-face ?-? stacking inter-actions between the pyrimidine rings organize these chains into a two-dimensional array [centroid-centroid distance = 3.789?(2)?Å].

Project description:The title compound, C(6)H(8)N(6), crystallizes as an N-H?N hydrogen-bond-linked dimer of two almost identical mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. Both of the mol-ecules are almost planar (rms deviations of 0.0186 and 0.0296?Å in the two molecules) and their hydrazino groups are turned towards the pyrazole rings. The dimers are arranged into chains via inter-molecular N-H?N hydrogen bonds between the hydrazino groups and the N atoms of the pyrimidine rings of both types of the mol-ecules, linking the mol-ecules into a C(7) graph-set motif along [100]. The methyl groups and the N atoms of the pyrazole rings form weak C-H?N hydrogen bonds, which connect chains of the dimers in a C(4) motif parallel to [100].

In both mol-ecules, the aliphatic segment of the ligand is in an all-trans conformation: the -S-(CH(2))(5)-S-bridging chain is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation for all non-H atoms = 0.0393 and 0.0796?Å in the two mol-ecules) and maximally extended. Their mean planes form dihedral angles of 4.08?(6)/20.47?(6) and 2.22?(6)/58.19?(6)° with the aromatic rings in the two mol-ecules. Project description:The title compound, C(4)H(6)O(2)S(4), was prepared by repeating, with subtle improvements, a multi-step route originally described by Mott & Barany [J. Chem. Soc. Perkin Trans. 1 (1984) ▶, pp. 2615-2621]. The title compound was obtained for the first time as a crystalline material. The two [(methyl-sulfan-yl)carbon-yl]sulfenyl moieties are essentially perpendic-ular to each other, each approximately planar (r.m.s. deviations of 0.02 and 0.01 Å) and with a C-S-S-C torsion angle = 90.99 (6)°, which compares well with the theoretical value of 90°.
