ABSTRACT: In the title compound, {[Nd(NO(3))(C(6)H(5)NO(2))(2)(H(2)O)(3)](ClO(4))(2)·H(2)O}(n), the Nd(III) atom is nine-coordinated by four O atoms from four pyridinium-4-carboxyl-ate ligands, two O atoms from a chelating nitrate anion and three water mol-ecules in a distorted tricapped trigonal-prismatic coordination geometry. Adjacent Nd atoms are linked by the bidentate pyridinium-4-carboxyl-ate ligands into a chain running along the b axis. The chains are further connected by O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Mn(2)(SO(4))(2)(C(6)H(5)NO(2))(2)(H(2)O)(6)], comprises half of a centrosymmetric dimer. The Mn(II) atom is coordinated by two O atoms of the monodentate carboxyl-ate ligand, an O atom of the sulfate anion in axial position and three water mol-ecules in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. Project description:The Cu atom in the title complex, {[Cu(C(6)H(2)N(2)O(4))(H(2)O)(3)]·H(2)O}(n) or {[Cu(L)(H(2)O)(3)]·H(2)O}(n) (L is pyrazine-2,3-dicarbox-yl-ate), displays octa-hedral coordination formed by the ligand L and three coordinated water mol-ecules. The ligand L is tridentate, with one N atom of the pyrazine ring and one O atom of one carboxyl-ate group forming a chelate ring, whereas one O atom from the second carboxyl-ate group is coordinated to another Cu atom. The ligand L links mol-ecules to form an infinite chain parallel to the [101] direction. The chains are further linked through O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds involving the water mol-ecules to build up a three-dimensional network.

The metal center lies on an inversion center and adopts an octa-hedral geometry with the carboxyl-ate groups tilted out of the mean plane formed by the btec. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into one-dimensional coordination polymers running along the ac diagonal. The crystal structure is consolidated by N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, {[AgNd(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(C(2)O(4))]·H(2)O}(n), the Nd(III) atom is coordinated in a distorted monocapped square-anti-prismatic geometry by two O and two N atoms of two N,O-bidentate pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate (2-pzc) ligands, four O atoms of two bidentate oxalate ligands, and one O atom of a monodentate carboxyl-ate group of a 2-pzc ligand. The Ag(I) ion is coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry by two N atoms from two monodentate 2-pzc ligands, one O atom from one monodentate oxalate ligand and one O atom of a bridging carboxyl-ate group of a 2-pzc ligand. The oxalate anions link neighbouring neodymium(III) metal centres into Nd-oxalate chains, which are inter-connected by Ag(2-pyz)(2) units, forming a three-dimensional polymeric framework. Inter-molecular O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds are observed in the crystal structure.

The first is N,O-chelated by three 3-amino-pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ions, whereas the second is chelated by two carboxyl-ate ions; both exist in a monocapped square-anti-prismatic geometry. The polymeric chains that run along the a axis inter-act with the lattice water mol-ecules, generating a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network. The formate ion is disordered over two positions with respect to the non-coordinated atoms in a 1:1 ratio.

Each Pb(2+) ion is also coordinated by two carboxyl-ate O atoms and three water O atoms, leading to a highly irregular coordination polyhedron around Pb(2+). The dimers are inter-connected by hydrogen bonds between coordinated and uncoordinated water mol-ecules and the carboxyl-ate O atoms. O-H?N inter-actions are also present.

The Cu(2+) ion is six-coordinated by three water O atoms, and two N atoms and one O atom of the 2,2'-bipyridine-3,3'-dicarboxyl-ate bridging ligand in a sligthly distorted octa-hedral environment. The 2,2-bipyridine-3,3'-dicarboxyl-ate bridges link the Cu(2+) ions into chains along the b-axis direction. These chains are further linked by O-H?O hydrogen bonds involving the water solvent mol-ecules, forming a three-dimensional framework.
