ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, {[AgNd(C(6)H(4)NO(2))(2)(C(2)O(4))]·2H(2)O}(n), contains one Nd(III) atom, one Ag(I) atom, one oxalate ligand, two nicotinate ligands and two uncoordinated water mol-ecules. The Nd(III) atom is eight-coordinated in a distorted square-anti-prismatic coordination geometry by four O atoms from two oxalate ligands and four O atoms from four nicotinate ligands. The Ag(I) atom has a T-shaped configuration, defined by two N atoms from two nicotinate ligands and one O atom from one oxalate ligand. The nicotinate and oxalate ligands link the Nd and Ag atoms into a three-dimensional coordination framework. O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds donated by water mol-ecules are observed in the crystal.

Project description:In the title three-dimensional heterometallic complex, {[AgSm(C(6)H(4)NO(2))(2)(C(2)O(4))]·2H(2)O}(n), the Sm(III) ion is eight-coordinated by four O atoms from four different nicotinate ligands and four O atoms from two different oxalate ligands. The three-coordinate Ag(I) ion is bonded to two N atoms from two different nicotinate anions and one O atom from an oxalate anion. These metal coordination units are connected by bridging nicotinate and oxalate ligands, generating a three-dimensional network. The uncoordinated water mol-ecules link the carboxyl-ate groups via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding. The crystal structure is further stabilized by hydrogen bonds between the water mol-ecules.

Project description:In title compound, {(C(2)H(10)N(2))(0.5)[In(C(2)O(4))(2)]·2H(2)O}(n), the unique In(III) ion is coordinated by eight O atoms from four oxalate ligands in a distorted square-anti-prismatic environment. The doubly bis-chelating oxalate ligands act as bridging ligands connecting symmetry-related In(III) ions and forming a three-dimensional open framework structure. Ethyl-enediammonium cations and water mol-ecules occupy the voids within the structure. The unique ethyl-enediammonium cation and one water mol-ecule both lie on a twofold rotation axis. One of the other two water mol-ecules residing on general crystallographic sites was refined as disordered with half occupancy. In the crystal structure, cations and water mol-ecules are linked to the anionic framework via inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, {[AgNd(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(C(2)O(4))]·H(2)O}(n), the Nd(III) atom is coordinated in a distorted monocapped square-anti-prismatic geometry by two O and two N atoms of two N,O-bidentate pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate (2-pzc) ligands, four O atoms of two bidentate oxalate ligands, and one O atom of a monodentate carboxyl-ate group of a 2-pzc ligand. The Ag(I) ion is coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry by two N atoms from two monodentate 2-pzc ligands, one O atom from one monodentate oxalate ligand and one O atom of a bridging carboxyl-ate group of a 2-pzc ligand. The oxalate anions link neighbouring neodymium(III) metal centres into Nd-oxalate chains, which are inter-connected by Ag(2-pyz)(2) units, forming a three-dimensional polymeric framework. Inter-molecular O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds are observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:The title compound, {[Nd(2)(C(2)O(4))(3)(H(2)O)(4)]·2H(2)O}(n), was synthesized hydro-thermally in the presence of bis-(carb-oxy-ethyl-germanium) sesquioxide. It is isostructural with the corresponding Pr compound [Yang et al. (2009). Acta Cryst. E65, m1152-m1153]. The Nd(3+) cation is nine-coordinated and its coordination polyhedron can be described as a distorted tricapped trigonal prism. Two Nd(3+) ions are connected by two O atoms from two oxalate ions to give a dinuclear Nd(2) unit. The unit is further linked to four others via four oxalate ions yielding a layerparallel to (0-11). The linkages between the layers by neighbouring oxalate anions lead to a three-dimensional framework with channels along the c axis. The coordinating and free water mol-ecules are located in the channels and make contact with each other and the host framework by weak O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

The Ag(I) atom is coordinated by two N atoms from two pyc ligands, one O atom from a third pyc ligand and one O atom from one oxalate ligand. The crystal structure exhibits a three-dimensional heterometallic polymeric network. O-H?O hydrogen bonding between the uncoordinated water mol-ecule and carboxyl-ate O atoms is observed.

The Nd(III) ion is coordinated by four carboxyl-ate O atoms from three bridging 5-aza-nium-yl-isophthalate (Haip) ligands, four carboxyl-ate O atoms from two oxalate (ox) anions and one ligated water mol-ecule in a tricapped trigonal-prismatic geometry. The Haip anion acts as a ?(3)-bridge, connecting three Nd(III) ions through two carboxyl-ate groups; the ox anion adopts a bis-bidentate-bridging mode, linking two Nd(III) ions. The layer framework is further extended to a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure through N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

All interatomic distances and angles and the hydrogen-bond geometries are very similar for the two structures. The refined Flack parameter of 0.49 (2) suggests inversion twinning.

Project description:The title compound, {[Tb(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(C(7)H(4)NO(4))(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O}(n), is isotypic with the analogous Tm(III) compound [Li, Zhang, Wang & Bai (2009). Acta Cryst. E65, m411]. The Tb(III) atom is octa-coordinated by two water mol-ecules and by four carboxyl-ate O atoms and two pyridyl N atoms from two pyridine-2,5-dicarboxyl-ate (2,5-pydc) and two 6-carboxy-nicotinate (2,5-Hpydc) ligands. The 2,5-pydc and 2,5-Hpydc ligands bridge Tb(III) atoms, generating helical coordination polymers along [001]. An extensive network of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds is formed between the coordination polymers and the uncoordinated water mol-ecules. The refined Flack parameter of 0.54 (2) suggests inversion twinning.
