ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(19)H(17)N(3)O(3)·CH(4)O, the mean planes of the benzene ring and the quinoline rings make a dihedral angle of 75.5?(2)°. The acetohydrazide mol-ecules are connected via pairs of inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds into inversion dimers, and the methanol solvent mol-ecule is linked to the acetohydrazide mol-ecule via inter-molecular N-H?O and bifurcated O-H?(N,O) hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, C(14)H(17)N(2)O(4)P·CH(3)OH, the planes of the pyridinium-2-ylamino and 2-hydroxy-phenyl groups form a dihedral angle of 75.6?(1)°, with the pyridinium NH group and the 2-hydroxy-phenyl OH group pointing in opposite directions. Three intra-molecular hydrogen bonds are observed. Two phospho-nate and two methanol mol-ecules are connected by O-H?O hydrogen bonds as a centrosymmetric dimeric cluster, and inter-act further with other dimeric clusters via N-H?O, O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds and C-H?? inter-actions, resulting in a sheet structure.

Project description:The title dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) solvate, C(17)H(18)N(4)O(3)·C(2)H(6)OS, shows the disubstituted urea derivative to adopt an almost planar geometry (r.m.s. deviation for non-H atoms = 0.132?Å); the mol-ecule has non-crystallographic twofold mol-ecular symmetry. This conformation is stabilized by two intra-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bonds. The components of the crystal are connected by N-H?O hydrogen bonds, whereby both amine H atoms are connected to a DMSO O atom, and C-H?O contacts involving the DMSO H and urea carbonyl atoms, forming a supra-molecular chain along the c axis. The chains associate via C-H?? inter-actions.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(20)H(16)N(2)O(4)·CH(3)OH, contains two Schiff base zwitterions and two methanol solvent mol-ecules. The dihedral angles between the central benzene ring and the two outer benzene rings of the Schiff base are 2.57?(7) and 52.30?(7)° in one mol-ecule and 5.83?(7) and 49.82?(7)° in the other mol-ecule. Intra-molecular O-H?N and N-H?O hydrogen bonds generate S(6) ring motifs, whereas intra-molecular N-H?N hydrogen bonds generate S(5) ring motifs. In the crystal structure, O-H?O, hydrogen bonds and weak C-H?O inter-actions link the mol-ecules into one-dimensional chains along the b-axis direction and are further connected by O-H?O and weak C-H?O inter-actions into a three-dimensional network. C-H?? and ?-? inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.6228?(9) and 3.6881?(9)?Å] are also observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:The title compound, C(8)H(12)O(7)P(2)·CH(4)O, is a monoesterified bis-phospho-nate (or 1-hydroxy-methyl-ene-1,1-bis-phospho-nic acid). These synthetic compounds are widely used in medicine to inhibit bone resorption in diseases like osteoporosis, and are characterized by a stable P-C-P group and are thus analogs of inorganic pyrophosphate. By masking one or several ionizable groups, introduced as phosphono-ester, it was anti-cipated the formation of prodrugs with higher lipophilicity that could facilitate the drug delivery and metabolization. Mol-ecules are paired by inter-molecular hydrogen bonds involving the phospho-nic groups. In addition, dimers are connected side-by-side, building infinite ribbons along the a-axis direction; these ribbons are cross-linked perpendicularly along the b-axis direction via a methanol solvent mol-ecule (disordered over two sites with occupancy factors ca 0.6 and 0.4), forming an extended inter-molecular hydrogen-bonded network. The H atoms of the methyl group in the main molecule are disordered equally over two positions.

There are also intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds in both the acetohydrazide and diphenol mol-ecules.
