The dihedral angle betwen two benzene rings is 21.32?(7)°. The adamantane unit consists of three fused cyclo-hexane rings in classical chair conformations, with absolute values of C-C-C-C torsion angles in the range 57.5?(2)-60.9?(2)°. Weak inter-actions of the type C-H?O link mol-ecules of each enanti-omer into chains parallel to the b axis and lying about inversion centers. Project description:The title compound, C(26)H(21)Cl(2)NO, crystallizes with two symmetry-independent mol-ecules (A and B) in the asymmetric unit. In both mol-ecules, the central heterocyclic ring adopts a sofa conformation. The dihedral angles between the planar part of this central heterocyclic ring [maximum deviations of 0.011?(1) and 0.036?(1)?Å in mol-ecules A and B, respectively] and the two almost planar [maximum deviations of 0.020?(1) and 0.008?(1)?Å in A and 0.007?(1) and 0.011?(1) in B] side-chain fragments that include the aromatic ring and bridging atoms are 20.1?(1) and 31.2?(1)° in mol-ecule A, and 26.4?(1) and 19.6?(1)° in mol-ecule B. Project description:The title compound, C(16)H(12)O(2), is a coumarin which was isolated from stones of the Chinese traditional medicine Clausena lansium. The pyrone ring is almost planar, with a mean deviation of 0.0135 (4) Å. The benzene ring (A) of the benzopyrone unit forms dihedral angles of 1.82 (5) and 72.86 (2)° with the pyrone ring and the substituent benzene ring, respectively. Project description:The inversion-related mol-ecules of the title compound, C(26)H(21)F(2)NO, associate into closed dimeric subunits via co-operative C-H⋯π inter-actions. Two non-classical C-H⋯O and one C-H⋯N intra-molecular hydrogen bonds are also found in the crystal structure. The piperidin-4-one ring adopts a sofa conforamtion with the 1-benzyl group in the equatorial position, and the equiplanar fluoro-phenyl substituents in the 3- and 5-positions stretched out on either side. The 1-benzyl group is disposed towards the substituent in the 6th position of the piperidin-4-one ring. The 3,5-diene units possess E configurations.
