Tetra-methyl-ammonium dihydrogen phosphate hemihydrate.

ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(4)H(12)N(+)·H(2)PO(4) (-)·0.5H(2)O, the anions form an infinite hydrogen-bonded chain along the [10] direction. The anion chains are connected by water mol-ecules, which lie on crystallographic twofold rotation axes, through O-H?O hydrogen bonds. These hydrogen bonds are almost perpendicular to the other hydrogen bonds which create an assembled structure of anions. In addition, C-H?O hydrogen bonds between anions and cations are observed.

Project description:IN THE CATION OF THE TITLE COMPOUND [SYSTEMATIC NAME: 3-(9H-carbazol-4-yl-oxy)-2-hydr-oxy-N-[2-(2-methoxy-phen-oxy)eth-yl]propan-1-aminium dihydrogen phosphate hemihydrate], C(24)H(27)N(2)O(4) (+)·H(2)PO(4) (-)·0.5H(2)O, the mean planes of the tricyclic ring system and the benzene ring form a dihedral angle of 87.2?(2)°. In the crystal structure, the solvent water mol-ecule is situated on a twofold rotation axis linking two cations via O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds. The anions contribute to the formation O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds between the anions and cations, which consolidate the crystal packing.

Project description:The title compound, C(4)H(12)N(+)·C(8)H(11)NO(5)PS(-), was obtained from tetra-methyl-ammonium hydroxide and dimeth-yl(phenyl-sulfon-yl)amido-phosphate. The tetra-methyl-ammonium cation has a slightly distorted tetra-hedral configuration and the N-C bond lengths lie in the range 1.457 (3)-1.492 (3) Å. In the crystal, no classical hydrogen bonds are observed between the cation and the anion.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound {(C6H18N2)2[Sb2Br10]·H2O} n , consists of two tetra-methyl-ethylendi-ammonium cations that are located on centres of inversion, as well as one tetra-methyl-ethylendi-ammonium cation, one water mol-ecule, one distorted octahedral [SbBr6](3-)anion and one bisphenoidal [SbBr4](-) anion in general positions. The [SbBr6](3-) and [SbBr4](-) anions are linked together by two long Sb-Br bonds of 3.2709 (8) and 3.5447 (7) Å into {[Sb2Br10](4-)} n chains along [001]. One of the three tetra-methyl-ethylendi-ammonium cations is disordered and was refined using a split model (occupancy ratio 0.58:0.42). The cations and the water mol-ecule are connected to the {[Sb2Br10](4-)} n polymeric anions by weak N-H ⋯Br and O(water)-H ⋯Br hydrogen bonding.

Project description:A charge-assisted hydrogen-bonding network involving N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds stabilizes the crystal of the title salt, C5H8N3 (+)·H2PO4 (-). The dihydrogen phosphate anions form one-dimensional chains along [100], via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The 2-amino-4-methyl-pyrimidinium cations are linked to these chains by means of two different kinds of N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Neighbouring chains are linked via C-H⋯N and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds forming two-dimensional slab-like networks lying parallel to (01-1).

Tetra-methyl-ammonium hydrogen terephthalate.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title salt, C(4)H(12)N(+)·C(8)H(5)O(4) (-), contains one half of a tetra-methyl-ammonium cation and one half of a hydrogen terephthalate monoanion. The N atom of the ammonium cation lies on a twofold rotation axis and the centre of mass of the terephthalate anion is on a centre of inversion. In the crystal, the centrosymmetric terephthalate ions are linked by a very short symmetric O-H?O hydrogen bond [O?O = 2.4610?(19)?Å] into a one-dimensional polymeric chain along [1-12]. The tetra-methyl-ammonium cations and terephthalate anions are then connected through a pair of bifurcated acceptor C-H?O hydrogen bonds, generating a three-dimensional supra-molecular network. The carboxyl-ate groups at both ends of the terephthalate anion are charge-shared with an equal probability of 0.5.

Project description:In the title compound, (CH(3))(4)N(+)·0.5C(8)H(4)O(4) (2-)·2H(2)O, the complete terephthalate dianion is completed by twofold symmetry and has a dihedral angle of 23.5 (2)° between the carboxyl-ate group and its parent ring. Two independent water mol-ecules serve as both donors and acceptor in the construction of undulating hydrogen-bonded host layers with various O-H⋯O contacts ocurring between the anion and two water mol-ecules. At the same time, the tetra-methyl-ammonium cations, as the sphere-like guest species, are arranged in two rows between neighboring host layers, with an approximate inter-layer distance of 7.36 Å, forming a sandwich-like crystal structure.
