ABSTRACT: In the crystal of the title hydrated salt, C(5)H(7)N(2) (+)·C(12)H(10)O(2)P(-)·H(2)O, the cations, anions and water mol-ecules connected by N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a layer along the bc plane; the phenyl rings protrude into the space between the layers. The dihedral angle between rings of anion is 86.1 (1)°.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 2C(6)H(9)N(2) (+)·SO(4) (2-)·H(2)O, contains two isomeric protonated amino-methyl-pyridine cations, a sulfate anion and a solvent water mol-ecule. The cations are in the iminium tautomeric form. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H?O, N-H?O and weak C-H?O hydrogen bonds link the components into a three-dimensional network. Additional stabilization is provided by weak ?-? stacking inter-actions, with centroid-centroid distances of 3.758?(2) and 3.774?(1)?Å.

Project description:In the non-centrosymmetric structure of the title compound, (C(5)H(7)N(2))[Cr(C(2)O(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O, the Cr(III) ion has a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination environment defined by two chelating oxalato ligands in equatorial positions and two water mol-ecules in axial positions. An extensive three-dimensional network of hydrogen bonds involving all the water mol-ecules, the 4-amino-pyridinium cation and some of the oxalate O atoms contributes to the stabilization of the structure. ?-? inter-actions between adjacent pyridine rings provide additional stability of the crystal packing, with a closest distance between pyridine mean planes of 3.613?(1)?Å.

Project description:All the residues of the title compound, (C(5)H(6)N(3)O(2))[ReO(4)]·H(2)O, are located on general crystallographic positions. The 2-amino-5-nitro-pyridinium cation has a typical planar conformation with one of the nitro O atoms -0.058?(5)?Å out of plane; the amine H atoms are also a little out of the main ring plane towards the opposite side of the aforementioned O atom [by 0.02?(4) and 0.04?(4)?Å]. The perrhenate anion is nearly ideally tetra-hedral. Three distinct N-H?O hydrogen bonds give rise to C(8) zigzag chains running along [100]. R(4) (4)(12) rings involving the two hydrogen bonds in which the water mol-ecules inter-act with the perrhenate anions are also present.

Project description:The title compound, (C(5)H(7)N(2))(2)[CdI(4)]·H(2)O, contains one [CdI(4)](2-) anion, two prontonated 4-amino-pyridine mol-ecules and one water mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. In the anion, the Cd(II) atom is coordinated by four I atoms in a slightly distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The [CdI(4)](2-) anion and the water mol-ecule are bis-ected by a crystallographic mirror plane perpendicular to the c-axis direction, with the Cd(II) atom, two of the I atoms and the atoms of the water mol-ecule located on this plane. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H?I, N-H?O and O-H?I hydrogen bonds and by ?-? stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.798?(3)?Å) between pyridine rings, which build up a three-dimensional network.
