ABSTRACT: In the title polymeric coordination compound, [Sn(CH(3))(3)(C(8)H(6)ClO(2))](n), the Sn atoms exhibit a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry with the carboxyl-ate O atoms of the 2-chloro-phenyl-acetato ligands in axial positions and with the equatorial sites occupied by the three methyl groups. Adjacent Sn atoms are bridged by coordination to the two O atoms of each 2-chloro-phenyl-acetato ligand, forming a chain structure.
