Poly[[bis-(?(2)-6-methyl-pyrazin-2-carboxyl-ato-?N,O:N)copper(II)] dihydrate].

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, {[Cu(C(6)H(5)N(2)O(2))(2)]·2H(2)O}(n), the Cu(II) ion (site symmetry ) is coordinated by two N,O-bidentate ligands and two N-monodentate ligands in a distorted CuO(2)N(4) octa-hedral geometry. Each anion acts as a bridge between two cations, thus forming a two-dimensional polymeric network parallel to the ab plane. The packing is consolidated by O-H?O hydrogen bonds. One of the O atoms of the ligand and both water mol-ecules are disordered.

Project description:In the title compound, {[Cu(II)Cu(I) (2)(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(CN)(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O}(n), the Cu(II) atom lies on an inversion centre and is octa-hedrally coordinated by two N atoms and two O atoms from opposing pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate (2-pac) ligands and two water O atoms. The Cu(I) atom has a triangular geometry, coordinated by one N atom and one C atom from two bridging cyanide ligands, and another N atom from the 2-pac ligand. The three-dimensional structure features a succession of two-dimensional sheets containing [Cu(CN)](n) chains linked by Cu(2-pac)(2)(H(2)O)(2) groups. The coordinated and free water mol-ecules are involved in an extended three-dimensional hydrogen-bond network with the 2-pac ligands.

Project description:The title compound, {[Cu(C(17)H(11)N(2)O(3))(2)(H(2)O)]·2H(2)O}(n), is a two-dimensional polymer. The Cu(2+) ion lies on the crystallographic twofold axis. The coordination sphere of the Cu(2+) ion can be described as a distorted square pyramid. All of the H atoms in the amide group and lattice water mol-ecules participate in O-H?O or N-H?O hydrogen bonding to strengthen the two-dimensioal framework of the polymer.

Project description:The title six-coordinated distorted octa-hedral complex, [Cu(C(6)H(3)N(2)O(4))(2)(C(10)H(8)N(2))]·2H(2)O, consists of two 3-carboxy-pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate anions and one 2,2'-bipyridine ligand. There is a twofold rotation axis positioned at the Cu(II) center. The N atoms of the pyrazine ring occupy the axial positions and two proton-transferred O atoms of tbe acid together with the two N atoms of the 2,2'-bipyridine ligand complete the equatorial plane. The inter-actions existing in the crystal structure are inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, and C-H⋯O and C-O⋯π inter-actions (O⋯π =3.145 Å, C-O⋯π = 149.75°).

Project description:In the title complex, [Co(C(6)H(5)N(2)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O, the coordination geometry of the Co(2+) cation is distorted octa-hedral, with two N atoms and two O atoms from two 5-methyl-pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ligands in the equatorial plane. The two remaining coordination sites are occupied by two water mol-ecules. In addition, there are two uncoordinated water mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The crystal structure is stabilized by a network of O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, forming a three-dimensional structure.

Project description:In the title polymer, {[Cu(C(8)H(12)N(2)O(6)P(2))]·2H(2)O}(n), the geometry of the five-coordinate Cu(II) ion can best be described as slightly distorted square-pyramidal formed by one N and two O atoms of an N(CH(2)PO(3)H)(2) group and one N atom from a pyridine ring. The elongated apex of the pyramid is occupied by one O atom from a third diphospho-nate ligand. The inter-connection of Cu(2+) ions by the diphospho-nate ligands results in the formation of a double-chain array along the b axis, in which the two sub-chains are inter-locked by pairs of PO(3) groups. The outside of each sub-chain is decorated by other PO(3) groups. These double chains are further assembled into a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture via a large number of O-H?O hydrogen bonds between the phospho-nate groups and lattice water mol-ecules.

The metal center lies on an inversion center and adopts an octa-hedral geometry with the carboxyl-ate groups tilted out of the mean plane formed by the btec. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into one-dimensional coordination polymers running along the ac diagonal. The crystal structure is consolidated by N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

In the crystal, the Ag(I) and Ni(II) ions lie on a mirror plane and an inversion centre, respectively. The complex chains, the nitrate ions and the uncoordinated water mol-ecules are linked together through O-H?O hydrogen bonds and weak Ag?O inter-actions [2.619?(17)-2.749?(17)?Å] into a three-dimensional network.

The dimers are inter-connected by hydrogen bonds between coordinated and uncoordinated water mol-ecules and the carboxyl-ate O atoms. O-H?N inter-actions are also present.
