Catena-Poly[[[[3-(2-pyrid-yl)-1H-pyrazole]manganese(II)]-?-oxalato] sesquihydrate].

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, {[Mn(C(2)O(4))(C(8)H(7)N(3))]·1.5H(2)O}(n), the Mn(II) ion is chelated by two O,O'-bidentate oxalate ions and an N,N'-bidentate 3-(2-pyrid-yl)pyrazole mol-ecule, resulting in a distorted cis-MnN(2)O(4) octa-hedral geometry for the metal ion. The bridging oxalate ions generate wave-like polymeric chains propagating in [001]. The packing is consolidated by N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds. One of the water O atoms lies on a crystallographic twofold axis.

Project description:In the title compound, {[Ni(C(2)O(4))(C(8)H(7)N(3))]·1.5H(2)O}(n), both unique Ni(II) ions are chelated by an O,O'-bidentate oxalate ion and an N,N'-bidentate 3-(2-pyrid-yl)pyrazole mol-ecule. A second, symmetry-generated, oxalate ion completes a distorted cis-NiN(2)O(4) octa-hedral geometry for both metal centres. The bridging oxalate ions result in two distinct wave-like polymeric chains propagating in [100]. The packing is consolidated by N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds. The crystal studied was found to be an inversion twin.

Project description:In the title compound, [Mn(C2O4)(C10H7N3S)] n , the Mn(II) cation is chelated by one 2-(1,3-thia-zol-4-yl)-1H-benzimidazole ligand and two oxalate anions in a distorted N2O4 octa-hedral geometry. Two independent oxalate anions are located on individual inversion centers and bridge the Mn(II) cations into a polymeric chain running along [101]. The thia-zole ring is approximately coplanar with the benzimidazole ring system [dihedral angle = 4.19?(9)°]. In the crystal, classical N-H?O hydrogen bonds and weak C-H?O hydrogen bonds link the polymeric chains into a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.

Project description:The title one-dimensional coordination polymer, {[Zn(NCS)(2)(C(24)H(20)N(6))(2)]·0.28H(2)O}(n), was obtained by the reaction of Zn(OAc)(2)·2H(2)O, KSCN and 1,2-bis-{[2-(2-pyrid-yl)-1H-imid-azol-1-yl]meth-yl}benzene (hereafter L). The Zn(II) ion shows a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry and is coordin-ated by two N atoms from two SCN(-) anions and four N atoms from two organic ligands. The L ligands act as bridging bis-chelating ligands with cis coordination modes at the Zn(II) ion. One-dimensional coordination polymers are arranged into layers by ?-? stacking inter-actions between the imidazole rings of adjacent chains, with an inter-planar distance of 3.46?(1)?Å and centroid-centroid distances of 3.8775?(16)?Å. One of the thio-cyanate ligands is disordered over two positions with an occupancy factor of 0.564?(3) for the major component. The partially occupied water mol-ecule forms an O-H?S hydrogen bond with the disordered thio-cyanate group.
