Project description:Although the title mol-ecule, C(20)H(16)N(2)O(10), does not possess mol-ecular inversion symmetry, it lies on a crystallographic inversion centre which imposes disorder on the central cyclo-hexene ring. In addition, the cyclo-hexene ring has non-symmetry-related disorder over two sites, with the ratio of the major and minor components being 0.54:0.46. The overall effect is to produce four disorder components for the atoms of the cyclo-hexene ring. The side chain is perfectly ordered and the dihedral angle between the atoms of the carbonate group (O=CO(2)-) and the benzene ring is 72.99?(6)°.

Project description:The title compound, C(24)H(30)O(6), does not exhibit π-π inter-actions due to the steric effect of the bulky tert-butyl groups present in the mol-ecule. The presence of these groups at the 2 and 2' positions hinders the free motion of the benzene rings relative to each other, causing them to adopt an anti-periplanar arrangement. The benzene rings are twisted by just under 50.96 (17)° with respect to each other. The carbonyl groups within the mol-ecule are directed in different directions, one towards the biphenyl group and the other away from it. The mol-ecules are linked together by C=O⋯H-C hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, C(19)H(22)F(3)NO(4), the dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the conjugated part of the enaminone ring is 42.5?(1)°. The ester substituent makes a dihedral angle of 81.3?(2)° with this latter moiety. The crystal structure is held together by strong N-H?O and weak C-H?O inter-molecular inter-actions. The enaminone ring is disordered over two orientations with relative occupancies of 0.794?(4) and 0.206?(4).

Project description:In the title crystal structure, C(20)H(18)N(2)O(10), there are two independent mol-ecules, both of which lie on crystallographic inversion centres. In one mol-ecule the 4-nitro-phenyl dicarbonate groups are substituted in equatorial (A(eq)) positions of the chair-form cyclo-hexane ring while in the other mol-ecule the substitution is axial (B(ax)). The dihedral angles between the atoms of the symmetry-unique carbonate group (O=CO(2)-) and benzene ring for each mol-ecule are 47.3?(1)° for A(eq) and 11.7?(2)° for B(ax). In B(ax), this facilitates the formation of a weak intra-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bond, while the packing is stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H?O inter-actions.

Electrochemical nucleophilic synthesis of di-tert-butyl-(4-[18F]fluoro-1,2-phenylene)-dicarbonate.

Project description:An electrochemical method with the ability to conduct (18)F-fluorination of aromatic molecules through direct nucleophilic fluorination of cationic intermediates is presented in this paper. The reaction was performed on a remote-controlled automatic platform. Nucleophilic electrochemical fluorination of tert-butyloxycarbonyl (Boc) protected catechol, an intermediate model molecule for the positron emission tomography (PET) probe (3,4-dihydroxy-6-[(18)F]fluoro-L-phenylalanine), was performed. Fluorination was achieved under potentiostatic anodic oxidation in acetonitrile containing Et3N·3HF and other supporting electrolytes. Radiofluorination efficiency was influenced by a number of variables, including the concentration of the precursor, concentration of Et3N·3HF, type of supporting electrolyte, temperature and time, as well as applied potentials. Radio-fluorination efficiency of 10.4±0.6% (n=4) and specific activity of up to 43GBq/mmol was obtained after 1h electrolysis of 0.1M of 4-tert-butyl-diboc-catechol in the acetonitrile solution of Et3N·3HF (0.033M) and NBu4PF6 (0.05M). Density functional theory (DFT) was employed to explain the tert-butyl functional group facilitation of electrochemical oxidation and subsequent fluorination.

Project description:The title compound, C(18)H(30)N(4)O(2), contains two tert-butyl urea groups, each connected to a benzene ring though a methyl-ene group. One of the groups occupies a position almost normal to the aromatic plane with a C-N-C-C torsion angle of -94.4?(4)°, while the other is considerably twisted from the ring with a C-N-C-C torsion angle of -136.1?(4)°. In the crystal, pairs of mol-ecules are connected to each other, forming centrosymmetric dimers in which two NH groups of one mol-ecule act as hydrogen-bond donors to one carbonyl O atom of the other mol-ecule. The dimers are linked into sheets parallel to (100) by N-H?O hydrogen bonds involving the remaining N-H and C=O groups.

Project description:In the title compound, C25H36N2O2, the two tert-butyl-substituted benzene rings are inclined at an angle of 53.5 (3)° to one another. The imidazolidine ring has an envelope conformation with with one of the C atoms of the ethylene fragment as the flap. The structure displays two intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds that generate S(6) ring motifs. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin with a fractional contribution of 0.281(6) for the minor domain.
