ABSTRACT: In the title mol-ecule, C(10)H(12)N(2)O(2), the acetohydrazide group is planar within 0.012?(1)?Å and forms a dihedral angle of 5.25?(8)° with the benzene ring. The meth-oxy group is coplanar with the attached benzene ring [C-O-C-C = 0.1?(2)°]. The mol-ecule adopts a trans configuration with respect to the C=N double bond. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into centrosymmetric dimers by N-H?O hydrogen bonds and these dimers are linked into a ribbon-like structure along [110] by C-H?O hydrogen bonds. In addition, an inter-molecular C-H?? inter-action is observed.
