Project description:In the mol-ecule of the title compound, 2C(4)H(10)N(3)O(2) (+)·SO(4) (-), the cations are planar (r.m.s. deviations = 0.0144 and 0.0236 Å) and oriented at a dihedral angle of 62.30 (4)°. Intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds result in the formation of two planar six-membered rings. The cations are linked to the sulfate ion through inter-molecular C-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming an R(2) (2)(8) ring motif. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title salt, C3H6N3S2 (+)·Cl(-)·H2O, crystallized with two organic cations, two chloride anions and two water mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The methyl C atoms deviate from their respective bound ring planes by 0.081 and 0.002?Å. In the crystal, the components are connected via N-H?O, N-H?Cl and O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds, forming sheets lying parallel to (100). The sheets are linked into bilayers by O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds involving the chloride ions and water mol-ecules. Within the bilayers there are ?-? inter-actions [inter-centroid distances = 3.4654?(4) and 3.4789?(4)?Å] involving inversion-related cations.

Project description:In both 2-amino-4,4,7,7-tetra-methyl-4,5,6,7-tetra-hydro-1,3- benzo-thia-zol-3-ium benzoate, C11H19N2S+·C7H5O2-, (I), and 2-amino-4,4,7,7-tetra-methyl-4,5,6,7-tetra-hydro-1,3-benzo-thia-zol-3-ium picrate (2,4,6-tri-nitro-phenolate), C11H19N2S+·C6H2N3O7-, (II), the cations are conformationally chiral as the six-membered rings adopt half-chair conformations, which are disordered over two sets of atomic sites giving approximately enanti-omeric disorder. For both cations, the bond lengths indicate delocalization of the positive charge comparable to that in an amidinium cation. The bond lengths in the picrate anion in (II) are consistent with extensive delocalization of the negative charge into the ring and onto the nitro groups, in two of which the O atoms are disordered over two sets of sites. In (I), the ionic components are linked by N-H?O hydrogen bonds to form a chain of rings, and in (II), the N-H?O hydrogen bonds link the components into centrosymmetric four-ion aggregates containing seven hydrogen bonded rings of four different types.

In the propanol group, the N-C-C-C and N-C-C-O torsion angles are 172.58?(15) and 52.9?(2)°, respectively, and the S-C-C-C torsion angle is 178.99?(18)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by O-H?Cl and N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds, forming zigzag chains along [001]. There is also a C-H?Cl inter-action present.

Project description:The crystal and mol-ecular structures of the title salt, C8H8N3S2 (+)·Cl(-), (I), and salt hydrate, C8H7ClN3S2 (+)·Cl(-)·H2O, (II), are described. The heterocyclic ring in (I) is statistically planar and forms a dihedral angle of 9.05 (12)° with the pendant phenyl ring. The comparable angle in (II) is 15.60 (12)°, indicating a greater twist in this cation. An evaluation of the bond lengths in the H2N-C-N-C-N sequence of each cation indicates significant delocalization of π-electron density over these atoms. The common feature of the crystal packing in (I) and (II) is the formation of charge-assisted amino-N-H⋯Cl(-) hydrogen bonds, leading to helical chains in (I) and zigzag chains in (II). In (I), these are linked by chains mediated by charge-assisted iminium-N(+)-H⋯Cl(-) hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional architecture. In (II), the chains are linked into a layer by charge-assisted water-O-H⋯Cl(-) and water-O-H⋯O(water) hydrogen bonds with charge-assisted iminium-N(+)-H⋯O(water) hydrogen bonds providing the connections between the layers to generate the three-dimensional packing. In (II), the chloride anion and water mol-ecules are resolved into two proximate sites with the major component being present with a site occupancy factor of 0.9327 (18).

Project description:Theasymmetric unit of the title salt, C19H17N2S(+)·Cl(-)·0.75H2O, contains two symmetrically independent formula units of the carbenium salt along with three water mol-ecules. The water mol-ecules are only 50% occupated, and one of them is positioned in a hydro-phobic pocket not forming any hydrogen bonds. The conformation of the independent cations is very similar, with dihedral angles of 61.0?(2) and 61.5?(3)° between the benzene rings. They form quasi-centrosymmetric couples via ?-? stacking inter-actions between the benzene and imidazo[2,1-b]thia-zole rings [centroid-centroid distances = 3.718?(3) and 3.663?(3)?Å]. In the crystal, O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds lead to the formation of a helical anion-water chain along the c-axis direction. The cations connect to the anion-water chain through C-H?Cl inter-actions, generating a three-dimensional supra-molecular network. O-H?S hydrogen bonds and C-H?O inter-actions also occur.

Project description:In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(9)H(11)N(3)O(5)S, the thia-zole ring is oriented at dihedral angles of 87.33 (3) and 87.18 (3)° with respect to the planar (r.m.s. deviations 0.0136 and 0.0139 Å) methyl ester groups. The dihedral angle between the methyl ester groups is 44.20 (3)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯N, N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules along the a axis, through R(2) (2)(8) and R(2) (2)(22) ring motifs, forming infinite two-dimensional polymeric sheets. π-π Contacts between the thia-zole rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.536 (2) Å] may further stabilize the structure.
