The crystal structure is further stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H?O inter-actions. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin with a ratio of the twin components of 0.657?(11):0.343?(11).

Project description:The title compound, C(24)H(22)N(2)O(2), was prepared by condensation of 1,2-bis-(4-ethoxy-phen-yl)ethane-1,2-dione and 1,2-diamino-benzene. The asymmetric unit contains one half-mol-ecule, close to a twofold axis. The plane of the quinoxaline ring is twisted with respect to the planes of the two ethoxy-phenyl ring systems, exhibiting dihedral angles of 39.95?(9)°. The crystal packing is dominated by weak C-H?? inter-actions. No classical hydrogen bonds or stacking inter-actions are observed.

In the mol-ecule, all bond lengths and angles are within normal ranges. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 34.89?(1)°. Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(17)H(17)N(2)O(2) (+)·Cl(-)·H(2)O, contains one-half of the cation, one-half of a water mol-ecule and a chloride anion. The complete cation is generated by crystallographic two-fold symmetry, with one C atom lying on the rotation axis. The O and Cl atoms have site symmetry 2. There exist two inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds, which individually form five-membered rings. There also exists a ?-? inter-action between the aromatic ring and its symmetry counterpart, with a centroid-centroid distance of 4.0202?(17)?Å, and a C-H?? inter-action between a methyl CH group and the aromatic ring.
